New sunflower

I start once again with an apology for the radio silence. To be honest I’ve done very little proper gardening until this week due to my availability and weather not matching up well.
I did finally get my sweetpeas planted out this week and a few other things from the greenhouse. I’ve also done a lot of weeding and tidying. I didn’t know I had so many weeds til I started looking! I’ve also redone my hanging basket. I even managed to kill the ivy last season by lack of watering (I think). I have, however, taken lots of pictures of the garden so I’ll share a few here.

Apologies once again for the silence.
I’ve actually been able to get into the garden and do things the last few days. It’s been so wet here and damp. The grass is more moss than grass and rather sponge like to walk on.
I sowed my sweetpea seeds a couple of weeks back in the greenhouse and a few have appeared.
I have done yet more tidying up, it never seems to end and some grass edge cutting and weeding.
We have a few things flowering at the moment. Hellebores, forsythia, daffodils and Camellias. I’ve included crocus too which are so pretty. Pictures below

It’s started a bit earlier than some years and hopefully won’t be put off by sudden cold spell

I was not expecting to wake up to this today. We don’t get that much snow in my village, so if we do it tends to mean the higher ground around here will be thickly covered. I love looking at the snow on the garden but hate driving in it after a bad experience one winter when the main roads weren’t even gritted

It seems a little early but the first of my snowdrops are flowering in my garden today

Apologies once again for the lack of posts. Those who’ve followed me for a while will probably know by now that I don’t garden in the cold weather because as much as there’s always something to do it doesn’t really agree with me and I take far too long to warm up. I do really miss being outside in the winter but it’s also been so wet here that the flower beds are slightly under water! I’m hoping everything survives and doesn’t get washed away. It’s happened before. Anyway just dropping in really to thank my followers for following me and to wish you a happy peaceful Christmas. Here is my little tree, not real sadly! We have some real ones in pots in the garden in various states of decay

My garden is very wet at the moment due to so much rain. I did manage to finish most of my tidying up jobs so the garden is ready for winter. I have a bit of a winter colour still so here are some pictures
