I woke up to a little snow here today. I wasn’t expecting it even though it was forecast. Anyone who has followed me for any length of time will know I only like looking at snow, not driving in it and fortunately I don’t have anywhere to go today. I do love seeing the garden in the snow so here’s a few pictures
I planted this in the ground last year after having it in a pot since 2016 and then overwintering in the greenhouse each year. So this year is the first time it’s Peres since it’s new position and it’s so pretty. I originally bought it for a garden I was doing at one of my rental properties but couldn’t bring myself to part with it.
I thought they had rotted or been eaten but I should have remembered that plants/bulbs in my northern garden are never as far ahead as the south. So I’m very pleased to have found some flowering when I was out just now tidying up again. I keep thinking I’ve finished tidying but I don’t think I ever will. It’s a bit cold for me really (not good for my chest) but I was glad to be outside. I really miss it in winter. So here are the snowdrops I’ve found. A bit small I know but better than nothing and I’m definitely going to get more next year
