RHS Chatsworth Flower Show 2018
by Wendy Syddall
Today my friend and I had a lovely day out at the RHS Chatsworth Flower show in Derbyshire, UK today. Fortunately, after visiting the first floral marquee we could find it stopped raining and was a good day for looking at gardens. This is the second year of this flower show and for me it was better this year, better organised and laid out and more organised. There were little flower displays outside most trade stands which were lovely. There was also a bio-dome type building that reminded me of the Eden Project in Cornwall. I loved the vast majority of the show gardens due to them being my favourite plant colours – white, pink and purple and a little red.
I only bought one plant – a white (hopefully) Delphinium – it was sold to me unnamed so we are unsure of the colour – but it should be a pale colour and will fit where I want to plant it whatever pale colour it turns out to be.
I’m not really good at reviewing shows so I will just present the pictures I have taken – I hope you like them and that they reflect the flower show.
I love the big metal flower sculptures!
