Acers in the garden
by Wendy Syddall
We tend to grow our Acers in pots as we can give them the soil they like (ericaceous) and also a sheltered position more easily. They are looking so good at the moment apart from a little wind damage.

These are beautiful. I don’t know what zone you are in, but potted here would provide a challenge during the winter months. I have been successful sinking double potted plants into the ground to over winter.
